About Kate Carmichael

Certified as an Insights Practitioner and Talent Management Practitioner, I focus on driving high performance in sports HR while ensuring fairness and opportunity for all. I’m passionate about finding creative, fair solutions to HR challenges, always approaching them with kindness and ensuring that everyone, at every level, is heard and empowered. I started my career as a swim coach where I co-developed a successful learn-to-swim program. The skills I honed in coaching have been the backbone of everything I do, carrying them into my work in HR. Combining my sports and HR expertise, I’ve found my niche, helping organizations thrive through coaching with a focus on fairness and kindness. Although I love Victoria, I’ve spent a lot of my career living and traveling abroad, mostly in the UK. Those experiences have given me incredible insight into how people work and interact. So I am a big advocate of people going away. Access to sports and the sense of community it brings should be available to everyone, regardless of ability or background. I also continue to coach junior swimming, fueled by my lifelong love for aquatics.
