Kate Cavett, MA, is a licensed alcohol and drug counselor with almost two decades experience assisting men, women, adolescents, and families. Kate’s insightful and reliable assessments are consistently informed by understandings gained through years of experience and advanced study involving the dynamics of substance use, related to mental health and environmental factors, such as social isolation, domestic, sexual, or societal abuse/violence as in heterosexism or racism. Through her many years of listening to stories she has the exceptional ability to understand the uniqueness of each client and their current situation. Kate’s holistic assessments are based on the values of: respect, empathy, wisdom, integrity, valuing each person’s individuality and spirit.Kate has a Master of Arts in Human Development from Saint Mary’s University; a Bachelor of Arts in substance abuse Counseling from Metropolitan State University; is trained in Restorative Justice / Restorative Practices – Talking Circles.
