About Kate Gamble

Kate Gamble founded Open Door Integrative Wellness in 2014 with the goal of developing wellness programming that was effective and accessible. She has built a team of practitioners that work collaboratively for best outcomes.The model is client centered and allows the individual or group agency by gaining knowledge and skills with pragmatic wellness tools. The inspiration for the team approach to wellness came from years of being a leader in neurological rehabilitation programs where a team of practitioners met with the patient and family to set goals and map out a path toward achieving these goals.She has also been inspired by the writings Atul Gawande and the Blue Zones Project along with the many other healthcare providers and patients that she has had the privilege to work with. She has BFA in Dance from New York University and a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the Mayo Clinic. Kate specializes in working with clients with biomechanical and neurological dysfunction. She also has advanced training in somatics work from Moving on Center in Berkeley, California. Her combined training as a physical therapist, somatics practitioner and dancer allows her to facilitate movement experiences that are safe and transformative. She has years of training and experience with mindfulness and meditation which informs her approach in working with clients. She is a dynamic speaker and teacher. Her work is trauma informed.
