About Kate Terhune

Kat is a senior at the University of Delaware passionate about healthcare, public health, and patient advocacy. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Health Behavior and Nutrition Sciences with a minor in Public Health and will obtain a BSN through Northeastern University's accelerated program beginning fall 2025. With a strong foundation in health promotion and behavior change strategies, Kat is dedicated to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based care and holistic wellness approaches. She has hands-on experience in patient care as a nursing assistant in a rehabilitation facility, where she developed key skills in communication, empathy, and clinical support. Beyond her academic and clinical experience, Kat is actively involved in leadership roles, serving as the Vice President of Volunteers Without Borders and the Social Chair of her university’s Pickleball Club. She is passionate about community service, health education, and making a meaningful impact in both clinical and public health settings. Kat plans to pursue a nursing career, where she hopes to combine her expertise in healthcare, leadership, and advocacy to empower patients and drive positive change in the medical field.
