About Katherine Daniels

I am an aspiring physician interested in the intersection of sociology and medicine pursuing a degree in Neuroscience with a focus on the impacts of traumatic brain injury. At school, I serve as a disability advocate through Princeton’s AccessAbility Center and volunteer with the Princeton First Aid and Rescue Squad. After sustaining traumatic brain injuries in my early teenage years from which I have since recovered, I developed a desire to pursue research into Traumatic Brain Injuries in order to support others who face similar obstacles as I did. As such, I have a passion for developing non-pharmaceutical therapies for post-concussive symptoms while also understanding the neural and systematic changes following brain injury. Outside of research, I am also heavily involved in community service efforts on campus where I serve as the chair for the Civic Leadership Council health division where we are developing a community cooking class for local high school students. I have a strong work-ethic, but I believe my compassion and drive to serve others are my most important skills.
