About Katherine Perriello

I am an undergraduate senior at William and Mary studying International Relations and graduating in Spring of 2025. During my time in college, I have interned with the Army War College, researched the effect of the military on domestic politics to aid in a book project. This past summer, I was an intern with the Air Force Civilian service as a Premier College Intern for the security department. I got exposed to the civilian-military structure, aided in information protection and personnel security processes, and learned from security professionals across the country. In addition, I took part in the program Hacking for Defense, where students work in teams with a sponsor from the Department of Defense (DoD). During this program, my team worked on a problem related to congestion of the electromagnetic spectrum, utilizing interview-based research. This semester, I joined the International and Political Affairs in the Caucasus lab at William and Mary. Through this lab, I have researched the elections in Georgia this October and the impact of potential fraud, as well as the impact of Georgian veterans in the election and their involvement in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Ukraine.
