About Katherine Schultz

My professional interests include assessing and developing biblical worldview in high school and college students, teacher mentoring, and curriculum development in classical Christian schools. My research centers around a survey I developed, the 3-Dimensional Worldview Survey. This research project used the definition of worldview as derived by James W. Sire (2004) as the basis for a three-dimensional concept of worldview: propositional, behavioral, and heart orientation. The 3DWS is a 73-item survey with a subscale for each dimension. The validity and reliability were tested, and the results shared in my dissertation, published 2012. High school teachers, university professors, and church leaders continue to use the 3DWS as they work with their students to reflect on their own worldviews and challenge them to grow in their Christian faith. I have also spent over 25 years in K-12 Christian school classrooms and administration, and have been the associate headmaster at Schaeffer Academy in Rochester, Minnesota, since 2006, where I have taught worldview, math, rhetoric and literature.
