I am a Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Nurse and EMDR therapist I have worked in the NHS since 1995 as a mental health nurse and have gained a wide range of clinical experience - Charge Nurse at Simmons House Adolescent unit, specialist clinical CAMHS nurse at the Early Intervention Service Camden and the North Camden Child and Family Consultation Service at Tavistock Centre London, Senior Nurse Crisis Team, kings Lynn, Norfolk, Interim Mental Health Nurse for in- reach mental health team HMP Norwich. Clinician for Looked after children and children in care, Norfolk Children’s services. I joined Norfolk Children’s Services as a Psychotherapist in the unaccompanied asylum seeking Children’s Service in February 2022 where I practise EMDR therapy, trauma informed therapeutic interventions and consultation across the service. Specialist areas; creating safe calm and therapeutic care environments for children and young people who have experienced trauma, unaccompanied asylum seeking children and young people; working with young people who have experienced abuse, their parents and carers; adolescent mental health; crisis work; early intervention in psychosis and EMDR.
