About Katrina Ffrench

Committed to achieving racial equity and social justice, Katrina is the Founder and Director of UNJUST C.I.C a non-profit organisation that addresses discriminatory culture, practices and policies within UK policing and the wider criminal legal system. Former CEO of StopWatch and Chair of MOPAC Stop and Search Community Monitoring Network, Katrina has extensive experience in the field of stop-search policing and community engagement. An effective fundraiser and relationship builder, Katrina is capable of diversifying and increasing income streams. With her personable nature, strong leadership and management skills, as a CEO Katrina successfully oversaw the publication of evidenced based reports and met with a key stakeholders to advocate for meaningful change. Never afraid to ask the uncomfortable questions and offer a constructive and honest critique, Katrina is a confident communicator. Keen to challenge and change the mainstream narrative of policing and racialised communities she has featured on TV, radio, podcasts, info-explainers and in print media. In June 2020 Katrina provided oral evidence to the Home Affairs Committee, The Macpherson Report: Twenty Years On inquiry. In addition to leading workshops and delivering keynote speeches at national and international conferences, Katrina has participated in panels and events alongside MPs, academics, lawyers, police officers, practitioners and civil liberties activists.
