About Kayla Launi
While in college, I became a white water rafting guide. Thinking it would just be a fun summer gig, I never imagined what opportunities it would bring me. I graduated in 2018 with a Bachelors of Science in Sport and Exercise Psychology with a minor in Communication Studies. I continued to be a raft guide after graduation. While working jobs that simply were just paying the bills after college (and rafting on the side), I knew I wasn’t happy. I knew all I wanted was to raft. I was persistent in making a position in the outdoor recreation industry work. I took my resume to the outfitter and told them I would love to be a greater asset to the company. I was determined to use my professional skills mixed with my passion for the outdoors and rafting and turn it into a career. This is when the Hiring and Compliance position was born.
