About Keanan Duffty

Award-winning fashion designer, Council of Fashion Designers of America (CDFA) member, musician, educator and author of Rebel Rebel Anti-Style (Rizzoli, 2009) and The Fashion Entrepreneur (Laurence King/Hachette, 2024). Duffty graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, 1st Honors in fashion from Central Saint Martin's. Founding Director of the MPS in Fashion Management at Parsons School of Design in New York. Stylist of the 2016 CFDA Awards tribute to David Bowie, featuring Tilda Swinton and Michael C. Hall; costumes by Kansai Yamamoto and Donatella Versace. Keanan Duffty's fashion label was established in and sold at 150+ retailers including Bergdorf Goodman, Lane Crawford, Journal Standard, and Bloomingdales. Duffty worked with Aveda, Ben Sherman, Dr. Martens, Gola, Gwen Stefani's LAMB, Moods of Norway, Reebok, John Varvatos Star USA, and is currently contributing Fashion Editor for SOMA Magazine. From 2012 to 2015 Duffty was Senior Director of the Fashion Merchandising program at San Francisco's Academy of Art University. In 2016 Duffty developed a Master's in Fashion Business for New York University was named Mentor for the Masters Fashion Styling program at Polimoda Institute in Florence Italy in 2017. Duffty dressed the Sex Pistols for their 2003 American tour and in 2007 collaborated with David Bowie to create a fashion collection for Target. Keanan Duffty's music, including albums "Total Dragon Pop"(2014) featuring Earl Slick (David Bowie) producing and playing guitars,"Killers in Glitter," with contributions from Glen Matlock (Sex Pistols), Clem Burke (Blondie), Pete Shelley (Buzzcocks), and "Watersport: 30th Anniversary Edition" are available on iTunes, Spotify and most streaming services.
