About Keith Blount

I am currently NATO’s Deputy Supreme Allied Commander Europe, the first time a Royal Navy Admiral has held this position. Over a 41 year career spanning strategic leadership, ship command and helicopter aviation, I have thrived on diverse challenges and the privilege of leading exceptional people. From state school to Knighted Admiral, I have built a record of delivering measurable outcomes in complex, high-stakes environments. More than half my career has been spent in command roles, while at Board Director level I have led strategy and programme management across national and international domains. Comfortable at the political–military interface, I excel on the global stage in dynamic, diverse, and senior stakeholder environments. A flag bearer for inclusive leadership and innovative thinking, I am passionate about turning complexity into clarity and inspiring organisations to achieve more through vision, collaboration, and the confidence to succeed.
