About Keith Sheppard

I have 7 years of experience in the purchasing and receiving departments of a company that manufactures high end furniture as well as doing upholstery work for the aerospace industry. I work extensively with the ERP system SYSPRO, procure materials for the manufacturing process and for facilities, correspond with suppliers, monitor inventory and shipment of supplies, inspect and receive incoming raw materials, participate in team building, etc. I also have been greatly involved in problem solving and continuous improvement activities, including extensive use of and teaching of kaizen. I also have 15 years of experience in full time ministry. Those 15 years included running youth ministries, public speaking/preaching, worship leading, overseeing a wide variety of ministries, participating in leadership boards, etc. I also am a volunteer chaplain for a local MiLB baseball team. This role involves the preparation of messages, leading chapel services, coordinating service times with players and coaches, developing relationships with players and coaches, etc. The experience I’ve obtained from these distinct fields has given me a unique skill set. I have a healthy knowledge of the purchasing and inventory management sides of a manufacturing environment but I also have people skills, leadership skills and public speaking skills from my years in ministry and my current role as chaplain.
