About Kerry Anderson

I joined Banner Jones Solicitors in 1996, at which time I was studying as an Accountant. I qualified up to AAT level before moving into Costs Law in I qualified as a Costs Draftsman in 2005 and as a Costs Lawyer in 2010. I am Head of the Costing Team at Banner Jones responsible for Costs Compliance and Costs Recovery on behalf of the firm. I cover a wide area of costs from Legal Aid Family and Care cases including High cost cases; Litigation costs covering all areas of law to include negotiations, cost budgeting, drafting bills, points of dispute and replies and requesting detailed assessment hearings; Court of Protection bills and Employment and Litigation Insurance claims. I have previously been involved with all levels of Legal Aid Criminal cost claims in addition to Immigration and Housing cost claims. I am heavily involved with the firms' Costs Compliance, assisting case workers with retainers, fee estimates, pricing and scoping and billing in addition to ensuring hourly rates are reviewed annually, reducing write offs with changes to procedure and providing support to case workers with all aspects of costs. I supervise and provide training to members of the costing team, in addition to providing training as necessary to case workers to ensure that costs are maximised.
