As an attorney, parliamentarian and mediator, Attorney Judd, divides his time between private legal practice and association leadership roles. He is a registered parliamentarian, board governance strategist, consumer bankruptcy practitioner, mediator for the United States Courts of the District of Columbia Circuit and serves as an arbitrator for the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). Attorney Judd is a parliamentarian for the National Bar Association, Washington Bar Association and Sigma Delta Tau Legal Fraternity, Inc. Attorney Judd served as the 74th president for the National Bar Association (NBA) and currently serves as co-chair for the NBA Standing Committee for Board Governance. He served as president for the Bar Association of the District of Columbia (BADC), president of the Washington Bar Association, president of the Federal Bar Association, D.C. Chapter, national president for the Howard University Law Alumni Association, and Grand Chief Justice for Sigma Delta Tau Legal Fraternity, Inc. Attorney Judd is a member of the American Bar Association (ABA) House of Delegates and a member of the ABA Standing Committee on Audit. He is the immediate past chair for the BADC Bankruptcy & Reorganization Law Section. A core theme of his leadership across all organizations has been a long-standing commitment to improving organizational infrastructures, operations, and financial positions. Attorney Judd spent considerable time traveling internationally, with a trip to Panama where he orchestrated a historic signing of a MOU with the NBA and the Panamanian Bar Association. He traveled to the Dominican Republic, where he led a fact-finding mission to investigate the plight of Haitian-descent born Dominican Republicans loss of citizenship. In Mampujan, Columbia Attorney Judd met with local Afro-Colombian leaders and attorneys to discuss difficulties related to the post-Arms War. In London, England, he co-chaired the Racism in Sports Conference alongside the president of the London Society of Black Lawyers. Attorney Judd is licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia, the State of New York, the Maryland Federal Courts, and the United States Supreme Court. He served as a member of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Columbia Local Rules Advisory Committee, and as a complaint examiner for the Government of the District of Columbia, Office of Police Complaints.
