Strong community and social services professional with a Bachelor of Science - BS focused in Sport and Event Marketing from University of South Alabama, and with a Master of Arts - Discipleship and Family Ministry from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. With over 20 years of experience in church ministry settings, including over 12 years as a Children’s Pastor at small, large, and multisite churches, I have vast experience in recruiting, training, appreciating, and retaining volunteers and staff, as well as leading and teaching children and families. Through my experience, I have learned the value of leading others through inspiring them to be part of something bigger than themselves. At the same time, I have also learned how to build relationships, which are the lifeblood of leading people and implementing the mission and vision. In my most recent position, I helped start 4 new church campuses and developed a volunteer team throughout 6 campuses, while overseeing more than 15 staff members. I also led a staff team to lead over 200 volunteers on a weekly basis. From weekly programming to events throughout the year, volunteers have been vital. For example, I led our team to implement a Vacation Bible School in 2019 with over 1,700 kids and over 600 volunteers across Hampton Roads.
