About Kevin Power
I am a Full Professor and Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies at Memorial University's School of Human Kinetics and Recreation. With a PhD in Physiology from the University of Manitoba and postdoctoral training, I bring over two decades of experience in higher education, research, and student development. As Associate Dean, I oversee curriculum development, program delivery, and resource planning while chairing the Committee of Undergraduate Studies. My research expertise spans exercise physiology and neuromuscular physiology. I have published over 50 peer-reviewed papers and presented at numerous international conferences. A Clinical Exercise Physiologist, I have trained hundreds of exercise professionals as a certification program facilitator for the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology, where I have also served in multiple leadership roles including Vice Chair of Research and Treasurer on the Board of Directors and am currently the Chair-Elect. I am also involved in the community through volunteering as a hockey coach and am dedicated to youth development and the enjoyment of sport.
