Performed structural analysis in Ansys on new and existing designs, resulting in two patent pending improvements. Eliminated tribal knowledge by creating a 100+ page Design Standards document to detail all rules and limitations. Created a capacity-based project scheduler to manage thousands of customer requests across up to 20 engineers. Helped transition the team from Solidworks to CREO and lead the implementation of a Design Automation system.Lead Product Engineer - Novatec Developed four new product lines of pullers, cutters, and saws for the plastic and medical extrusion markets. Lead the engineering team by overseeing all projects from the initial concept to the final production ready design. Traveled to customer locations as a service technician, to troubleshoot and solve any problems they are encountering.Product Engineer - Baltimore Aircoil Company Redesigned the mechanical structure of cooling towers to eliminate excess system vibration and warranty claims. Performed calculations and selections for pump, motor, gear, and belt systems across all BAC product lines.Engineering Designer - Sotera Defense Solutions Designed, manufactured, and tested several styles of black box enclosures for military data collection applications. Developed strong knowledge of tight tolerances, advanced gasket calculations, and enclosed circuit board design.
