About Kimberley Schubert

Hi, my name is Kimberley! I am a highly curious, analytical, and imaginative front-end developer with a background in Education, English, and Music. I have recently completed a certificate program in UX Design from York U, and I enjoy combining my creativity, research, and problem-solving skills with my experience to build accessible and responsive applications using HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Firebase, and API integrations. Before transitioning into the world of Web Development, and now UX Design, I was an Intermediate/Senior level Educator with specializations in English and Music. While this may seem wildly different from a position in Web Development and UX Design, I have found many instances where my finely honed skills in planning, curriculum development, procedural writing, attention to detail, problem solving, communication, and presentation skills have made me a better programmer and visual designer by bringing additional creativity, thoughtfulness, and polish, to my projects. Outside of coding and UX, I like to spend my personal time with family, reading, gaming (DRG or Sea of Thieves, anyone?), or learning a new tune on the hurdy gurdy or pipes!
