Summary: My position allows me to utilize advanced knowledge in an acute setting providing specialized healthcare services in Epilepsy to the Pediatric population. Sub-specialty training in Pediatric Neurology. Knowledge and training in Thoracic Outlet Syndrome. Diagnostic reasoning skills, advanced therapeutic interventions, and education used in provision of direct patient care in a collaborative model. Works collaboratively with physicians and other nurse practitioners while being accountable and responsible to the Pediatric patient and their family. Accountable for making clinical judgement using dependent and interdependent critical thinking skills. Manage healthcare to the Pediatric population using advanced skills in physical exam, diagnosis, and treatment. As a CPNP, I have the knowledge and training to function as a consultant, educator, resource, provide evaluation of quality of care rendered;analyze and promote change(s) to enhance quality of care and organizational effectiveness through evidence based practice. Master's of Science in Nursing with clinical specialization in Pediatrics. Over twenty years clinical nursing experience as a professional nurse (RN). National Certification in advanced practice: Pediatric Nursing Certification Board (PNCB) Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) in primary care. Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner in Michigan and Ohio.
