I began collecting, repurposing, and researching vintage costume jewelry after an antiquing excursion in 2009 which led to starting a blog, writing a couple of books, and speaking to women's groups throughout the Dallas Metroplex. JEWELRY DESIGNER I collect (mostly signed) vintage costume jewelry from the 1920s to 1960s. I then repurpose the sparkling pieces into contemporary adjustable rings while retaining their historical beauty. They are sold on my website: kingdomsparkle.com I also transform sentimental family heirlooms for others into magnificent pieces they can enjoy wearing today. BLOGGER Fabulous Finds is an educational blog about the exquisite vintage costume jewelry I have found on my treasure hunts and the talented jewelry designers behind each piece. Spiritual Sparkle is a faith-based blog written with the hope of encouraging and equipping others to use the sparkling nuggets found in God's Word so they can live radiantly for Christ. AUTHOR Beauty in a Life Repurposed is a 6-week Bible study that uses the history of vintage costume jewelry and the craft of repurposing to connect the many ways God repurposes us using our unique skills, life experiences, and the tools in His Word so we can reflect His light radiantly. Kingdom Sparkle is a 12-week Bible study connecting each of the traditional birthstones to a gift God graciously provides for us to shine brighter in the darkness through a personal, intimate relationship with Jesus Christ, the Light of the world. SPEAKER I have had the privilege to speak to over 100 corporations, churches, professional organizations, non-profits, and social groups since 2004. My focus today is to share my passion for vintage costume jewelry, teaching the history behind it and its talented designers who had an extraordinary way of using sparkle and imagination in their eye-catching creations. And I am passionate about sharing how we can get our own sparkle back, allowing God to use our unique story, no matter how painful, so we can truly shine for Him.
