About Kimberly Vanhees
Kimberly studied Clinical Molecular Sciences at Hasselt University (2003-2007) and in 2011, she obtained a PhD in Genetic Toxicology at Maastricht University. She worked as a PhD student from 2011 until 2016. Since March 2016 she is the manager and quality coordinator of the University Biobank Limburg UBiLim is a collaboration between Hasselt University, Hospital East-Limburg and Jessa Hospital and is established to support translational research carried out by the three partners. UBiLim, however, also makes its facilities available to researchers from other hospitals or research institutes. Kimberly is also an active member of several BBMRI.be working groups (IT, Quality, ELSI and Sustainability). Since 2020, she is also a member of the Ethical Committee of the Jessa Hospital and member of the BAREC Biobank workgroup.
