Edgework: More than 20 years ago, I developed a concept I call "edgework"- a personal, professional, and organizational mindset and approach that powerfully shapes who we are as individuals and leaders. The "edge" symbolizes the edge of our current capabilities, skills, knowledge, and experiences. Often, the "edge" also represents the edge of our confidence. Stepping over the edge requires commitment to the unknown, an understanding that growth requires risk-taking and a willingness to be vulnerable. Edgework IS work. It requires intention and commitment. It compels us to build relationships and invite others to join us on our journeys.
