About Knox Watson

I am an Armor Officer in the United States Army with a professional focus on private innovation, defense procurement, and public policy. I hold a B.S. in American Politics with a Terrorism Studies Minor from West Point, and I will spend 2 years at Oxford's Blavatnik School of Government studying public policy on a Marshall Scholarship. As an award-winning Presidential Fellow in the Center for the Study of the Presidency and Congress, I researched budget reprogramming in the Department of Defense. Using a dataset I created of program budget transfers, I presented my findings at CSPC and the Midwest Political Science Association. I am currently seeking publication alongside West Point faculty. I have interned at the White House and the Defense Intelligence Agency in addition to holding various positions in the cadet chain of command. My work has been included in the President's Daily Brief, and I have written work for the West Point Press, Infantry Journal, and for various senior defense and political officials.
