I am excited to be part of the team at CNR-IOM @SISSA, Trieste, Italy where we're exploring the fascinating world of intrinsically disordered regions (IDRs) and their role in protein interactions within the human spliceosome. By combining cutting-edge computational techniques, such as molecular dynamics (MD) simulations and enhanced sampling methods, with experimental validation (including NMR, SAXS, HDX-MS, cryoEM), we're advancing the field of structural bioinformatics to understand the underlying mechanisms that drive protein function and disease. In my current research, I focus on protein-RNA interactions, IDPs/IDRs, and the intricate molecular processes that contribute to human health and disease. I am also involved in computer-aided inhibitors design, investigating how intrinsically disordered proteins (IDPs) and protein misfolding can be targeted for therapeutic interventions.
