About Krizia Renda

I am a graduate in Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Medical Biotechnologies from the University of Parma. During my studies, I had the opportunity to deepen my understanding of the main aspects of the scientific subjects related to my university career, such as the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying diseases in the field of molecular and cellular biology, the immune system and its related responses, the mechanisms of action of drugs, pathogenic microorganisms, and infections in the fields of microbiology and virology.During my post-graduate internship at the Clinical Pathology laboratory of the hospital-university company in Fidenza (AUSL of Parma), I learned both the main microbiological laboratory techniques and those of hematochemical analysis (for example, the preparation of cultures on solid and/or liquid media from various biological materials such as blood, urine, respiratory materials, and urogenital swabs), bacteriological staining (Gram), the preparation of identification and antibiotic sensitivity tests, and the use of molecular biology techniques (RT-PCR, LAMP) for the diagnosis of bacterial and viral infections.For a time my experience involved collaborating on research projects with Professor Cossarizza's team at the Department of Maternal-Child and Adult Medical and Surgical Sciences (University of Modena and Reggio Emilia). My tasks included using the flow cytometer and conducting protocols on HIV and lung biopsy.My most recent experience involves my role as a Laboratory Analyst at Tentamus Agriparadigma, where I specialized in instrumental analysis using liquid chromatography (pesticides, cosmetics).Key Responsibilities- Use of TargetLynx software for processing and interpretation of analytical data- Validation of analytical results through the Visual LIMS system, in compliance with current regulations- Sample preparation and management of pre-analytical phases according to standardized procedures- Application of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP, GMP) and HACCP standards for food safety- Drafting of periodic reports containing recommendations for improving analytical and production processes- Collaboration with the quality team for monitoring sustainability and animal welfare parameters- In-depth knowledge of major agri-food certifications and European regulatory frameworks- Use of advanced tools for qualitative and quantitative analysis of agri-food products.
