About Kyle Hendren

As I finish my fifth and last year at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, I am currently Student Teaching in the band program at Stillwater Area High School after teaching in an elementary music classroom at Brookview Elementary in Woodbury, MN. During Student Teaching, I am developing and improving many instrumental skills alongside educational techniques and practices. I specialize in saxophone and guitar playing and jazz music, but I have considerable knowledge in other woodwinds, percussion and rhythm section instruments. I've gotten a lot of classroom experiences near the St. Croix region of Minnesota and Wisconsin, learning from many educators and teaching styles, and I've studied under amazing professors in music at UWRF. Aside from education and music, I have many experiences in merchandising Coca-Cola products at multiple grocery stores in Wisconsin and Minnesota, as Viking Coca-Cola Bottling Company covers an extensive geographical area. This position has included lots of interaction with customers and other grocery store employees, managers, and bosses as I stock beverages on shelves and in coolers. Other work I do includes maintenance and groundskeeping at the Catholic cemetery and Catholic Church in North Branch, Minnesota. I have done lots of independent, outdoor work for this position, using small engines and power tools, hauling trailers, doing heavy lifting, painting, and doing building and construction work.
