About Lance Adams

Graduate of The University of Tennessee with a bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering. I have been working in industrial manufacturing with The Quikrete Companies since 2019. I was hired as a management trainee, and after a year I was promoted to Production/Operations manager and was acting interim plant manager for 6 months. In 2022 I was promoted to the regional engineer position. This allowed me to synthesize my experience in management and operations with my education in engineering. In this position I work closely with 16 manufacturing facilities across the southeast to execute capital projects, provide maintenance support, and help with environmental and safety compliance. Some notable projects in this role include: Installed robotic palletizers in Charlotte, NC; Nashville, TN; and Jefferson City, TN. These increased the equipment up-time and reliability. Installed in-line stretch wrapper systems in Nashville, TN; Memphis, TN; Jefferson City, TN; and Atlanta, GA. This reduced payroll headcounts by one. Replaced/upgraded rotary dryer burner in Nashville, TN. Increased throughput of the process by 60% which allowed for an additional shift of production and reduced line down-time. Installed rotary sand screen in Bowman, SC allowing for higher quality products to be produced and opening new sales options. Replaced sq-ft manufacturing building in Memphis, TN Replaced rotary dryer drums in Birmingham, AL and Chesapeake, VA
