After spending 20 years in public education, I have been able to translate the leadership skills in both coaching and administration to new business development in the ed tech industry. Many of the same principles of what makes a good leader great in the public sector can be applied to the private sector. Being strategic, work ethic, and drive lead to success in the industry, however the most important skill set is the ability to foster positive relationships to have a meaningful impact on students who are often overlooked.
