About Laura Carr

I am a confident and organised individual, currently working as an administrator in an adult education setting. My current post is a voluntary role, taking care of general administration duties including filing, photocopying, organising the office space and assisting learners in completing forms. This post has included some data entry and contacting learners to advertise upcoming courses. I have also worked in payroll for the NHS in two different capacities. The first was more reception based and required me to greet visitors to the department, man the switchboard, maintain a clean and organised reception area, distribute and dispatch post via both external and internal mail and carry out general office duties such as filing, photocopying, data entry and stock maintenance of office supplies. The second post involved fielding queries and complaints via telephone and email, making sure to take ownership of problems and mistakes and see each query or complaint through to it's solution. This post also included some data entry, filing and stock maintenance. Both of these roles heavily involved safe handling of sensitive data. My aim is to find a job that I can be enthusiastic about. I would like to progress and undertake training, and I feel that I am a creative and hard working team player with a lot to offer in the workplace.
