About Laura Erle

Hello! I am a creative and artist based in Chicago. I graduated with a B.F.A. in Acting and minors in Musical Theater, English, and Public Relations from Hofstra University. A professional voice talent and actress, I recently completed a year-long intensive program at the V.O. Dojo under the direction of Tish Hicks. I have also coached with Ben Carroll, Terri Nicole, Cat Campion, and Stephanie Riggio. My voice can be heard on various commercial and corporate campaigns; clients include Musicnotes.com, Goodleap, and more! I played a supporting role in a radio play called A MATTER OF RED HERRINGS, which is available for download. I also perform professionally in both plays and musicals, and have worked at regional theaters throughout the country. Favorite roles include: Fanny Dashwood/Lucy Steele in Kate Hamill's SENSE & SENSIBILITY, Juliet in ROMEO & JULIET, Varya in THE CHERRY ORCHARD, Shelley in BAT BOY! THE MUSICAL, and Pauline in SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. My first full-length play, co-written with Samantha Haviland, will be produced in NYC in 2023, courtesy of SoHo Shakespeare Company. THREE SISTERS, FOUR WOMEN is an adaptation of Chekhov's similarly named play in which only the female characters get to tell the story. I am excited to announce I will be playing the role of Irina! A staged reading (produced by Haviland & Erle Productions) was performed in NYC to a select, invited audience this past December. I am currently employed as a Standardized Patient for multiple medical programs, both virtually and in-person. As a Standardized Patient, I simulate medical encounters by playing a range of patient roles with varying presenting problems for educational purposes with medical students. Afterwards, I provide verbal or written feedback based on the student's communication skills and physical exam/social history checklists.
