I am a highly organised, reliable and committed individual that can work as part of a team or individually. I am a vastly motivated, enthusiastic individual who always strives to push and challenge oneself. I currently work as a Youth Support Worker for Nottinghamshire County Council. This position requires me to safeguard children and young people as well as have knowledge on youth studies, justice and practice. The skills I have from this job are: being able to work in unpredictable situations with young and vulnerable young people, good communication and listening skills, good organisation and creative skills, patience and a non-judgemental attitude. I work in a youth centre with young people aged 10-19 in a ‘troublesome’ area, providing a safe environment for them to socialise in while keeping them off the streets. I also work in retail at Waitrose so have an excellent standard of customer service, building rapports with customers and high commitment. I manage and run a team one evening, so am subject to answering phones and administrative work. Other nights I work willingly in the team doing more fast-pace shop and assistant related jobs such as replenishing stock, serving customers, cashier roles and shopping online deliveries. I am studying Youth Justice at Nottingham Trent University but live in Newark. I can manage my time effectively so I can complete university work and balance my jobs and social life. I have good computer knowledge and am a quick learner. As a student with excellent English skills I have very good analysis and evaluation skills as well as very good communication and excellent written skills. I am an empathic individual with a positive attitude who can multitask in a fast pace, pressured work environment.
