ARTIST | CREATIVE: I'm a visual artist of many media, but I'm primarily an expressive abstract painter. I often incorporate embroidery into my work. Other artistic interests include photography, collage, and ceramics. I enjoy working with clients to create commissioned artwork for their homes and businesses. EDUCATOR | INTERPRETER: With 10 years experience as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, certified ASL interpreter, and mentor teacher to incoming faculty, interns and student teachers, I find my strengths to be in differentiating instruction to serve and support diverse populations. As both a teacher and interpreter, I advocate for accessibility in communication and learning inside and outside of the classroom. I enjoy supporting parents to ensure they understand their child's IEP, accomodations, and educational rights, but even moreso, I like teaching students to advocate for themselves.
