About Lauren Brock

I have been teaching since 2013. I am currently employed at Springfield Township High School, after previously working 7 years at Spring-Ford Area High School. I earned a Bachelor’s of Science and Master’s of Arts degrees in Mathematics, and a Master’s degree in Educational Technology. In my teaching, I incorporate various technology and educational strategies that I have learned in my extensive professional development. I am currently a part of the Modernized Learning Program, where I incorporate a class set of touch-screen laptops into lessons. My classes at Spring-Ford have provided me with a familiarity of a variety of cognitive levels. I work collaboratively with my co-teacher to differentiate instruction and provide scaffolds when appropriate. Along with honing my teaching skills, I work hard on building meaningful relationships with my students and peers. I believe that my students’ successes in my class depend on my ability to know them both personally and academically, as I must adjust to their various learning styles. My passion for teaching, strong content knowledge, friendly personality, and love of learning make me an ideal role model for students. I am a very motivated learner and strive to help my students and peers where needed. I am a new teacher mentor and the Algebra II Content Facilitator. Through my professional development, I have learned multiple teaching strategies and apps to incorporate for assessment and engagement that I share with my peers at department meetings. I always strive for personal improvement in all areas of my career. My goal is to combine my wide range of experience with my ability to be a compassionate, intelligent educator to provide an environment where students become life-long learners.
