About Lauren MacAuley

Hello there, I'm Lauren Macauley, the clinical director at Parkway's NEW location in Tuscany Village near UVIC.(we're hiring clinicians, please reach out to me if you're interested in learning more or applying) I hold certifications in Gunn Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) therapy and am a proud Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapists (FCAMPT) and registered instructor of the program. I've also earned my Certificate from the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (CAFCI). Over the years, I've developed special interests in gait analysis for runners, plantar fascia and metatarsal pain, cervicogenic headaches, TMJ dysfunction, and treating all forms of body sprains/strains. This has led me to work with a diverse range of international sports teams to weekend warriors to the desk worker who needs motivation to build healthy habits. I've also cultivated a unique expertise in concussion management, post-concussion syndrome, and vestibular rehabilitation, staying abreast of the latest research and treatment techniques in this ever-evolving field. When I'm not in the clinic, you'll find me competing in equestrian dressage or dog agility with my sheltie dogs or chasing after my 5 year old son. These experiences have given me a well-rounded perspective on physiotherapy and ingrained in me a deep belief in the value of movement. I look forward to bringing this holistic approach to your care.
