About Lauren Willox
After leaving school, I began studying a HND in Fitness, Health and Exercise at North East Scotland College. This course gave me all the essential knowledge on everything health and fitness related. Such as basic knowledge in sports psychology, nutrition, strength and conditions and physiology and anatomy, which I am now furthering my knowledge of these at university. Whilst at college I was working as a lifeguard and swimming teacher. Both jobs helped me to grow in confidence and with communication skills. Along with gaining a first aid qualification. From both college and swimming teaching, I gained a love of helping others. So after careful consideration, I decided to further my knowledge at Leeds Trinity University studying Sports and Exercise Science (with Nutrition). In 2020 I completed my degree with a first class honours.
