About Leanore Gough

I always thought I would be a novelist, spending days at the library researching the next great adventure my mind could imagine. However, when I started volunteering and then was hired to work with women fleeing domestic violence I knew working with and for my community was what brought fire to my life.It makes sense, connecting with the people I serve, learning about their stories, backgrounds, dreams and realities was the ultimate story. Being the sidekick while building up the clients to be the superhero in their own stories has been more rewarding than I every could have imagined. I find I am able to take all of my own talents for problem solving, research, seeing situations from multiple view points adding my curiosity and my passion and then channeling it all into learning about the person in front of me. Creating safe healthy environments where they are able to unburden themselves, and then working along side of them, while they take the lead, and providing empathy, accountability, resources, advocacy and sometimes a joke. My specialities are thinking on my feet, learning new skills quickly, resolving crisis situations, communicating with people of all backgrounds and social levels, and seeing the most brilliant light in the people all around me.Reach out if you want to connect!
