We build and optimize soulless, dehumanizing, hyper-efficient systems and call them best practices. We design organizations to reward predictability without vision, innovation without courage, and performance without love, and we tell ourselves this is what leadership requires.We worship at the altars of scale, efficiency, growth, and the illusion of safety, and in doing so, we’ve quietly trained ourselves to value what delivers returns over what restores people.The result? Organizations run like machines, optimized for predictability, measured by market share and margin, while people are drained of creativity and calling, leaders trade boldness for safety, and cultures slowly suffocate under the weight of performance, control, and fear of change.This is not a strategic mistake; it’s a spiritual crisis.We are made for far more than maintaining the systems that drain our lives. Design and innovation were never meant to simply fuel business growth; they were meant to make God’s glory visible, honor His image in people, heal what’s broken, embody grace, anticipate His coming Kingdom, reshape systems so love can move freely, and take the self-giving shape of the cross.My work is no longer to tweak the frameworks that are shaping us into something less than what God intended; it is to abandon them for the Kingdom logic of Christ. Not a faith-flavored echo of secular design, but a ground-up reimagining of how we build, innovate, and transform.This is the work I’m now giving my life to.Work that restores what is broken, redeems what has been co-opted, and calls forth what is not yet.
