About Lenore M. Lucey

Lenore Lucey served as the first CEO of NCARB, the provider of Education Requirements, the Intern Development Program, and the Architect Registration Examination. NCARB is the certification agency for architects, enabling verified credentials to be transmitted upon request for licensing in member jurisdictions. NCARB represents the architectural profession in negotiations world wide on reciprocity issues. For LMB, Ms. Lucey's developed and maintained relationships with architects and architectural firms around the country and the world. She also served on the team crafting construction management and design build teams for numerous projects. She was the first woman architect to be named Executive Director of the AIA|NYC. She represented the NYC|AIA before the City of New York, to clients, and to the construction industry. Ms. Lucey served concurrently as the Executive Director of the New York Foundation for Architecture. For the ABC, she directed design and construction of award winning buildings for ABC News and ABC Television Studios 23/24. Ms. Lucey was responsible for the complete renovation of 125 West End Avenue; projects for ABC Radio, ABC Television Owned and Operated Stations, Good Morning America, 20/20, Loving, and Ryan's Hope. For many years Ms. Lucey was in private practice as an architect with Vitto and Robinson Architects and Edward Durell Stone Associates, among others. She was a founding Board member of the Alliance of Women in Architecture and has served on the Dobbs Ferry (NY) Planning Board, the Board of the Villard Hill Association, the Board of the Brandies Court Homeowners Association, and on both the CEO Advisory Council and the Women CEO Forum of the American Society of Association Executives. Ms. Lucey received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Pratt Institute, is a registered architect in New York State and Washington, DC, and is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards.
