About Leo Trich

Have enjoyed two careers - one in sports and the other in public service. During and right after college I worked in amateur sports, including serving as an administrator in an international youth baseball program. Later I served on the US Olympic Committee and eventually with the International Olympic Committee (IOC). Near the end of my sports career, I helped develop a college scholarship program that has awarded nearly to student athletes and to students showing leadership abilities at school and their communities. In 1988 I was elected as a PA State Representative and served 7 terms until I retired in 2002. From that point I have worked as a government relations consultant and have also worked with numerous non-profits, including 12 years as Government Relations Director of Goodwill SWPA. Over the past 7 years, I have worked as a volunteer with the World Affairs Council of Pittsburgh and Global Pittsburgh, assisting with a number of education projects supporting international relations. Starting in 2021, I have also developed a relationship with the EU Delegation to the US, headquartered in Washington DC and have been invited to take part in three events (2021,2023 and 2024) held in Brussels Belgium, The Hague Netherlands and London - all in an effort to promote a better understanding of the importance of US trans-Atlantic alliances and partnerships.
