About Lesley Halliday

Having spent over 20 years working in IT I had become very disillusioned with the industry so in 2016 after a having some time off due to needing surgery, I decided to walk away from IT and go in search of a new challenge. That search has led me to a number of roles within Cheshire Police. Now working as a police licensing Officer I am enjoying learning about the law and licensing. Working for the police is like having another family as everyone is supportive and helpful and it is great being part of this organisation and I feel like the small role that I play helps to contribute to keeping members of the public safe when their out enjoying a night out in the counties licensed premises. I’m so glad I took the leap of faith, if you don’t like or enjoy your job, then my advice is change jobs and find something new that will give you job satisfaction! I have an organised proactive approach to my job role; I enjoy building relationships with other responsible authorities and working within a small team where we all support and help each other.
