Background
About Leslie Pogue
- My job is to get you to see the strengths in you and your staff and get the very best out of them to use those strengths to have a productive and successful business while also enjoying what you do. If you are a small business, entrepreneur, or individual struggling to understand why you are stalled, you're probably wasting time that could be better served with trackable action and the self-awareness that comes from emotional intelligence techniques. 82% of executives say soft skills are needed today to be successful. With training costs per employee averaging greater than $1,500 are you seeing your ROI? I work with small businesses who are too busy to do their own training, and need more strategy than a brief webinar or lunch and learn can offer - but don't want to add a full-time training team to the organization. Here is my formula for your success: HEAR I start by listening to what it is you do and what your overall goals are as a business. By understanding what your mission and values are as an organization, I can start to hear your pain points and the challenges you are having with your staff. ACKNOWLEDGE From there we will acknowledge where you currently are, even if it is hard to hear, and create a plan to move forward. PERMISSION Getting buy-in from upper management down to your individual contributor is so important for the success of any strategic plan. In this phase, we spell out expectations and commitments from the entire team. PURGE Here is where the fun begins. In this step, we purge all old habits, procedures, and misconceptions and start operating from the strategic plan we've created. We get a chance to see what works, what needs to be tweaked, and what was already working. YIELD It's time to live in what you created. Now you are running on autopilot. The team is feeling comfortable and everyone knows their role and the expectations of that role. The teams are having fun again because the right task is with the right person(s). At this point, you have the option to keep things going yourself with your existing staff or you can retain me as your very own training department. I can develop and facilitate training on soft skills, system upgrades, procedure updates, succession planning, and any additional training needs that come up while helping you be a productive and successful business and enjoy what you do.
