About Liam Condon
Having joined the Defence Forces in 1978 as a member of the 55th Cadet Class, I was commissioned as an Infantry Officer in 1980.I have served in a wide range of appointments in the Irish Defence Forces at all levels including strategic levels at home and overseas. I have extensive experience in the areas of education and training, leadership, project management, logistics and all aspects of security. I have served overseas on peacekeeping missions in Kosovo, Afghanistan and Lebanon. I retired from the Defence Forces in April 2020 and immediately volunteered to join a contact tracing team based in Trinity College Dublin. I worked in this voluntary role until 15 June 2020. In mid Sept 2020 I joined the Occupational Health Department of Beaumont Hospital where I provided Covid-19 related support and advice to the hospital staff and patients. I worked in this position and assumed the role of Contact Trace Team Lead until 01 May 2022. In August 2022 I joined Advanced Laboratory Testing/Mérieux NutriSciences Ireland in Naas Co Kildare as a Customer Care Specialist.
