It's a privilege to be the Project Manager for the Fleming Way Improvement Scheme, one of Swindon's most significant regeneration projects. My focus is the strategic delivery of this £33 million initiative, which is designed to incorporate a "linear park" with a transport interchange, creating a vibrant and accessible gateway to the town centre.I'm responsible for guiding the project through construction to its scheduled completion in summer of this year and to project close. This involves day to day project management as the named and accredited NEC Project Manager. I am proud of mine and the teams efforts in delivering this much needed replacement of Swindon's bus station with a unique bus interchange. Incorporating a substantial green public realm, new and improved bus facilities and joining vital cycle links to connect our town.A key part of my role is fostering strong relationships with stakeholder partners, to include; the local private sector, local and national transport operators, resident and community groups and teams from the design and construction aspect of the scheme. Through this collaboration, we work to keep this complex project on track to deliver its substantial economic benefits for the community. I feel very fortunate to contribute to a project that is not only changing the landscape of Swindon but is also building a foundation for the continuation of town centre redevelopment.
