About Liam Nolan

A highly motivated, conscientious and professional individual who has developed a vast amount of customer service, administrative and leadership experience having worked in the financial services sector from 2018-2023. In February 2023, I joined the Irish Civil Service and enrolled as an Administrative Officer at the Embassy of Ireland Passport, Visa & Consular Office, London (Department of Foreign Affairs). As a proud Irish citizen, it is a great personal honour for me to work for an institution which provides such essential services to Irish citizens living in Great Britain. Aside from work commitments, I am an established traditional Irish musician who plays tenor banjo, mandolin and tenor guitar and was taught by the renowned music teacher, the late, great Brendan Mulkere. I play regularly in sessions around the London area, and have performed in numerous festivals and concerts in Britain and Ireland. Notable festivals to date include the annual Return to London Town Festival, London St Patrick’s Festival Trafalgar Square, Feile Strokestown, Fleadh Nua and Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann. A particular highlight for me was in November 2022 performing for the television presenter and London Irish Centre patron, Dermot O’Leary as he received the Freedom of the City of London Award from the Lord Mayor Vincent Keaveny at Mansion House in Central London. It was also an honour in March 2024 to perform for Ireland’s Ambassador to Britain, Martin Fraser, and Taoiseach Simon Harris T.D, at the Embassy of Ireland London St Patrick’s Celebrations. Aside from my session and performance work, I have also achieved honours in Irish Traditional Music Performance awarded by the London College of Music and University of West London.
