CHILDREN’S CENTRE CO-ORDINATOR STOTFOLD & DISTRICT CHILDREN’S CENTRE (SDCC) 2014 – Present To lead and co-ordinate a Children’s Centre Team (7 staff) to meet the Local Authority’s targets for Early Help and School Readiness. Achievements include: • Took lead of a centre in crisis and improved performance in a short space of time. • Spent time as a member of the MARAC panel. • Managed Family Worker caseloads and Safeguarding Supervision. • Numbers of children on CIN or CP plan reduced – indicative of effective Early Intervention. • Supported families to engage with services in order to achieve positive outcomes. • Established an ethos of multi-agency partnership working within the Children’s Centre. • Member of the Building Resilience in Families panel. OUTREACH WORKER SDCC 2012 – 2014 To provide Outreach Support via a combination of universal and targeted services in the Children’s Centre, community venues and the home environment. • Forged strong links with key partners including GP, social workers, school headteachers and safeguarding leads, pre-schools, nurseries and health teams. • Case studies highlight a consistent strengths-based approach to family support. • Developed personal knowledge and skills with a specialism in safeguarding and domestic abuse. • Challenged poor management practice in the management of the Children’s Centre. REGISTERED CHILDMINDER 1994 – 2012 To provide outstanding childcare and early years education in a home environment, educate parents in the EYFS and to support their child’s learning and development at home along with School Readiness and the transition between the two. • Achieved Outstanding Ofsted ratings throughout my childminding career. • One of the first Childminders in the country to achieve a double Outstanding for both Care and Education. • Attained a Degree in Early Years • Achieved Early Years Professional Status. • Asked by NCMA to design and deliver training to other Childminders – “A Passion To Be Outstanding”.
