As the Coordinator for Accessibility Support and Equity at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, I lead transformative initiatives that foster inclusive, equitable learning environments and align with federal standards. My career reflects a steady progression in leadership, with increasing responsibilities that have honed my expertise in addressing complex challenges, implementing policies, and collaborating across diverse teams. Key highlights include: Accessibility Leadership: Spearheaded the development of ADA-compliant policies, including accommodations, Emotional Support Animals, and Personal Care Aides, ensuring seamless access for all students. Discrimination and Title IX Collaboration: Partnered with university administrators on cases of disability discrimination and advised the Title IX Coordinator on investigations, promoting equity and compliance. Extensive Teaching Experience: Taught psychology and biology at multiple R1 universities, engaging diverse learners through innovative methods and tailored lesson plans that foster academic and personal growth. Program Development: Contributed to initiatives funded by the NASNTI Grant to improve retention and graduation rates for Native American and underserved students, reducing barriers and enhancing student success.
