About Liu Yang

I have a PhD in engineering from Shinshu University, where I researched the textile and fashion engineering. I have over three years of work experience including 1) Now working in CEO office for more than one year, where I'm planning the advanced use of generative AI and exploring how it could be used in line departments, from both a technical and legal perspective. In addition, as the secretariat of the Risk Management Committee, I am engaged in sharing information among the tops and coordinating policies between tops and field divisions. 2) Two years as a UNIQLO management candidate (UMC), where I learned the fundamentals of retail operations and team management. 3) One month as an AI engineer and developed an AI model that enabled fashion style identification. The AI model could be expected to be used in a variety of applications, such as trend analysis in the fashion industry and understanding customer preferences. I have strong communication and presentation skills, as well as problem-solving and analytical abilities, which I use to collaborate with various stakeholders, conduct research and analysis, and propose innovative and feasible ideas. I am passionate about creating value for customers, society, and the environment through the integration of technology and fashion. I am also fluent in Chinese, English, and Japanese, and have multiple certifications and awards in these languages and other fields.
