About Liz Schauer

Growing up, my dad refused to solve problems for me. Instead, he would say,"How do you think we can fix this?" Despite the momentary frustration I felt, I quickly learned that problems can—and should—be solved strategically and creatively. That belief has driven each step of my career, leading me into roles with complex issues to navigate, whether that be developing new operational systems, building technology platforms, or communicating in the midst of organizational change and crisis. I've seen communications make or break organizations. It matters deeply, but it's often one of the final considerations when making and sharing decisions and updates. I'm passionate about thinking through angles and audiences to intentionally craft in-person and digital communications so that people are engaged and honored in the news that most affects them. Ultimately, I desire to do work that matters—the "what" is significantly less important to me than the "why." I'm incredibly grateful to have been given countless opportunities to learn and lead projects and initiatives that bring life change and hope to people's lives and our world.
