I am on a lifelong quest to help bring humanity within the planetary boundaries. Sustainability is not just a goal—it’s a necessity, and I believe true transformation happens when environmental and economic interests align. With a career rooted in the non-profit sector, I have always worked in close collaboration with the for-profit world, because lasting change must make business sense. Over the years, I have helped drive major shifts in sustainable forestry and circular economy transition. As Director of FSC Denmark, I led the organization’s growth from just 12 business and NGO members to a thriving forum of 140 companies and organizations. Along the way, I helped increase public recognition of the FSC brand from near obscurity to 65% awareness in the general public. Beyond growth and awareness, I have been deeply engaged in FSC’s digital transformation. From an organization with minimal digital infrastructure, I played a key role in shaping and implementing an integrated digital landscape that is now on the brink of launching—paving the way for a truly data-driven certification system. Today, I lead the FSC Circularity Hub, an innovation team dedicated to enabling FSC to support the transition to a circular economy for more than companies, forest owners, and retailers within the FSC system. By leveraging digital tools and circular economy principles, I work to ensure that FSC remains a leader in sustainable and regenerative business models. I am a strategic thinker who sees the big picture and spots solutions on the horizon. A strong facilitator and communicator, I am passionate about bringing diverse voices together to co-create meaningful change. Above all, I am an eternal optimist—I believe in our ability to build a better future for people, nature, and the planet.
